Tech Session at JAU

We are having a tech session at Javier's Autos Unlimited. Since this is our first one, we are going to do a few easy things and progress from there. Plugs, wires, cap, pcv, throttle body cleaning, change out diff fluids and change oil. Javier will supply shop rags, tools, disposal of old fluids and hand cleaner. Each member is responsible for bringing their own parts and fluids. One or more lifts will be availible for our use. Bring plenty to drink and we can all chip in and order some pizza or whatever. I might even bring the grill and we could do fajitas.

Now you might be thinking "what's this cost"? Javier said he won't accept any money so your expense is parts, drink and food. As a good gesture, I will pick up an extra case of water and leave it at the shop for Javier's mechanics and customers. If you can do the same, please do so. It's the least we can do. I mean when was the last time you were turning wrenches with an experienced mechanic watching over you?

I am working with Javier on the dates and will post it up as soon as I know.

Even if you don't need any of these done on your rig, come out and help someone that does.

I had a blast and learned a lot. Again thanks to Javier and everyone esle that helped get my 40 back on the road.

Hopefully I can make this one. I have been meaning to go by javiers for a while now but just never make it onto that side of town....I need front and rear links ridin on some coil-overs, Think we could pin that down in an afternoon ; )

I would like to get my driver's side lower shock mount looked at, and possible that passenger side lower control arm bracket at the frame. But Im willing to help those who need it.

I'll be bringing my 40 I need to do the rear disc brake conversion. Does anyone have any experience doing this?

We don't have a date nailed down yet. Javier has some things to do and mentioned maybe a month from now. I keep this thread updated.
