What's the spline count and the overall shaft diameter? I have a couple of alignment tools in my garage that are for different vehicles than yours, but who knows, maybe one of them may be what you need.
does anybody have one in houston i could borrow or buy? i need it for labor day, planning on finally getting my tranny bolted up so the body can go on and start body work. if anyone has one and is willing to let me borrow it let me know.

id be down for something so i can get to know people on here and get some extra experience.
took a little while longer than expected changing some gaskets, so didn't get it in saturday night. but i put it in mid of that week, so now im waiting to find someone who can help me install the clutch & tranny (t-case already bolted on the tranny)
Laura and I were without the kids Saturday night, which doesn't happen often.

Depending on the date, I might be able to lend a hand. Just know I know nothing about a 40 but am willing to learn. I did do a head gasket job on my 80 and have replaced some seals.
